CENTRAL EUROPEAN AND CENTRAL ASIAN I*EARN COORDINATORS MEETING: Greetings
to the 50 coordinators and teachers meeting this week in Prague, Czech
Republic.

teachers and students who desire to work in the French language can
communicate.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 1998 ASAP: Atlas of Student Action for the
Planet.The United Nations CyberSchoolBus will put together an on-line
global atlas of student action on the environment and they invite you to
send a 100-150 word description of your class or group contribution to the
protection, restoration and enhancement of the environment. Submissions
will be made available on-line as part of the UN's observance of World
Environment Day, 5 June 1998. E-MAIL the completed form with all your

Coming Soon! Upcoming Events and Projects!
ASIA-PACIFIC SYMPOSIUM: Several project coordinators and participants of
I*EARN projects will be attending and presenting at this conference on
April 2, including Siriluck Hiri-O-Tappa, Thailand, and Virginia King
Muriel Wells, and Jo Tate, Australia. In attendance will also be speakers
from India and Korea with other participants from the region. See

YOUTH CAN 1998 CONFERENCE: This year's conference will be happening on
April 23rd. The theme is biodiversity. More than 800 students in Austin,
Texas, and 850 students in New York City at the The American Museum of
natural History attended YouthCaN 1997. Through the use of
telecommunications, students from Australia, Spain, Argentina, Belarus,
Lithuania, and Washington state were also able to participate. For more

CU SeeMe ARTS EVENT: On April 4th, from 2-6 pm in New York City, USA the
performance artist Jenny Marketou will be hosting an interactive
performance on the I*EARN reflector site and invites the participation of
all I*EARN schools that have access to CU SeeMe. The performance is open
