I*EARN News Flashes!
AN END TO INTOLERANCE: Orders are now being taken for the May issue of the
Holocaust/Genocide Project global, student magazine! Write to:
coldspring@iearn.org to find out prices and shipping costs.
FACES OF WAR HONORED WITH AWARD: The project recently won one of only two
service awards in 1998 from The Department of Veteran Affairs Australia.

http://www.araratcc.vic.edu.au/users/jot/fow/Serviceaward/award.html.
SHARING I*EARN PROJECT WORK: We are looking for groups of I*EARN schools
working on small e-mail based projects. Even if you do not work through
I*EARN conferences, you can still share your projects with the larger
community. If you have never registered your project, please complete a
project template available on iearn.ideas, or register on the web at
http://www.igc.apc.org/iearn/databases.html. Write to
password@copenfund.igc.apc.org if you don't know the database passwords.
Also, by including copies (cc's) of your e-mails to a relevant conference
address, others can more easily know of, and get involved in, all the
wonderful, but often hidden project work across the network. Please write
to Lisa Jobson at ljobson@iearn.org for help in sharing your project
work.
PROJECTNEAT: I*EARN-USA is working with ProjectNet to increase access to
Internet resources among schools internationally. ProjectNeat donates
Internet equipment to schools that would not otherwise have classroom
access. I*EARN Coordinators in 15 countries are identifying schools to
receive this equipment under an initial pilot collaboration between
I*EARN-USA and ProjectNeat: http://www.projectneat.org/.
ARTICLES NEEDED: Articles are needed from teachers around the I*EARN
Network for the "Journal of Online Learning." Ed Gragert in I*EARN-USA has
been named as an Associate Editor of this Journal and I*EARN has the
opportunity to put an article in *each* issue. Of particular interest are
articles which describe how classroom learning and teaching have been
impacted in general and in your specific curricular area by I*EARN project
work. Please send your article (in English) to ed1@iearn.org. Deadline
for the next issue: April 20.
