CALL FOR PARTICIPATION - SIG/Tel Workshop @ NECC '98, Sunday, June 21
(8:30 - 11:30 am),
lead by: R.W. Burniske and Margaret Riel: "Dancin' to a Global Beat:
Classrooms as International Learning Communities
Global telecomputing activities, much like international dances, introduce
different beats and dance steps. With this in mind, we'll examine
award-winning projects and brainstorm ideas for telecomputing activities
that accommodate geographically and culturally diverse "dancers" around
the world, helping isolated classrooms forge an international learning
community. Come meet potential dance partners and improvise some new steps
for your classroom! This workshop involves small group, noncomputer
activities."
