CLEANING OF THE IDEAS CONFERENCE: ATTENTION ALL ONGOING PROJECT
FACILITATORS! iearn.ideas has been cleaned and is being re-posted to
serve as a comprehensive listing of ALL I*EARN project templates, and also
as a place for project facilitators to share periodic project updates. A
number of projects actually took place on iearn.ideas over past years.
In the future this space will simply be used as a listing of projects and
updates on them, rather than a home to projects themselves. Any ongoing
I*EARN project facilitators who has not yet filled out the revised project

Join Us! Seeking Contacts, Contributions and Collaborators
CHILDREN'S FOLK GAMES. Sharing short descriptions of any game, counting
out rhymes, recorded songs, tongue twisters, artwork or photographs
representing group games. Possible outcomes will be a universal anthology
with children's folk games, artworks and photographs, a recorded tape, and

COMPUTER GRAPHICS. Teachers interested in collaborating on projects

FACES OF WAR - GLOBAL ART WORK DUE IN BY OCTOBER 20: An ongoing cross
curriculum project that looks at the lives of ordinary people around the
globe thrown into traumatic circumstances. Examines four main groups,
refugees, holocaust survivors, loved ones at home and veterans of war.
Each year a number of themes are put up for student exhibitions of art
work. Final exhibit: Nov 11th.

HOLOCAUST/GENOCIDE PROJECT iearn.hgp. The HGP has received a grant from
an anonymous donor for a global, student art contest for An End to
Intolerance. Works submitted must be in black/white format. There will be
3 cash prizes! Look for our upcoming announcements.
KINDRED: You are invited to join this project which focuses on family
history. Student submissions are required by December 1, 1998. A book
compiled from the responses will be distributed in early 1999. Submissions
may be read and sent to iearn.family.
LA TIERRA : NUESTRA CASA / THE EARTH : OUR HOME. A project focused on
environment and ecology for students from 6 to 15 years old using 4 main
topics : water, air, solid waste, flora and fauna. Languages : Spanish /
English (any help with translations would be appreciated). Conference :

LOCAL BIRDS AND TALES ABOUT BIRDS. Young people from different counties
may gain knowledge and share information about interesting birds from
several regions of the world. Outcome: web site with a collection of

you do, you live in one day...Just write telling us your stories,

INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S CONFERENCE ON THE ENVIRONMENT (ICC): 23 - 25
November 1998, Dunedin, New Zealand. The Conference which is being
organized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the 1998
International Children's Conference Board, Dunedin, will bring together
150 children between the ages of 10 and 12 years to learn and voice their
