iearn2...iearn8) have been closed.  I*EARN now can create its

I*EARN SCHOOL DIRECTORY: I*EARN is updating its printed
1999-2000 School Directory.  If you would like to change
information about your school or add a new school that has
recently joined I*EARN, let us know immediately by writing to
iearn@us.iearn.org.  If you would like to see if your
information is accurate in the I*EARN People Place Database
(from which the Directory is compiled), check out:

NEW I*EARN ASIA DISTRIBUTION LIST iearn.asiasoc: At the 
I*EARN International Conference in Puerto Rico last month,
Coordinators from Asian countries expressed an interest in

Kazakhstan, Japan, Korea, Cambodia, Thailand, India, Pakistan,

ACT NOW: BIAS/HATE CRIME: Recently, a racist in California, USA
killed a Filipino-American US Postal worker and injured five
people in a shooting spree at a Jewish Community Center.  CNN
has been reporting on Internet "hate groups" as much as
possible.  How can hate be stopped? What can we each do?  Share
your voice on this topic in the Holocaust/Genocide Project
iearn.hgp.  

"CHILDREN'S FOLK GAMES" Project will continue next school year!
Sharing games, customs, counting out rhymes, tongue twisters,

CITY ART VIDEO: Students are invited to record a videoclip with
shots showing the beauty and uniqueness of their city, together
with some information of the history, legends and interesting

DO WE HAVE A SPARE PLANET? The project will include an
environmental calendar, discussion about everyday environmental

FOOD FOR EVERYONE: Looking for 10 I*EARN schools to discuss
hunger and agriculture issues and "test-drive" a new CD-ROM

Bread for the World Institute.  The  3-week curriculum is
appropriate for agriculture and social science classes.
