CONNECTING MATH TO OUR LIVES PROJECT: All those that are not
afraid of Math and want to see its human heart are invited to

HGP/TC FACILITATORS TEMPORARILY OFFLINE. The ISP connection at
Coldspring Harbor High School, USA has been down, so students
have not been able to access individual accounts. They should
be back and responding next week. Please keep posting to their

RACE AGAINST RACISM PROJECT. 1999-2000 Race is about to begin.

"RESCUING SPACES FOR ART" Students and the community rescue
free spaces to create art works representing various themes,
including family, nature, humanity, etc. Student works will be
documented through photography or videos of the murals, and
letters and works written describing the process and result of

SCIENCE PROJECT "IF ROCKS COULD TALK...WHAT WOULD THEY TELL
US." Looking for 3 schools that represent the three levels:
elementary, intermediate and high school to share and exchange
activities and, through regular mail, a package entitled "My
rock." This project is a collaborative initiative between the
Orillas-I*EARN Center and the Project PR-SSI (Puerto Rico

TELL ME A STORY - GIANT QUILT 2000 PROJECT. Students are to
create a patchwork square that represents their interpretation
of a traditional folktale for their country. A written
description or poem is to accompany each square, outlining or
responding to the folktale concerned. EACH PARTICIPAING SCHOOL
WILL be represented in the main quilt. ALL patches will be part
