I*EARN NETHERLANDS FOUNDATION TO BE OFFICIALLY FOUNDED THIS
MONTH. Thursday July 29th in Ravenstein. In presence of a
notary the founding document will be signed. More information
can be found on http://www.ict-edu.nl. Members of board will
be Bob Hofman and Roland Kok, both present at the conference in
Beijing.
NEW ISSUE OF I*EARN NEWSLETTER, INTERACTION. (English
language version), is available for downloading in pdf from
http://www.iearn.org.au/interaction. The Spanish language
version will be available soon. The previous edition, (Spanish
and English language versions) is still available from the
same site.
I*EARN MEETING IN CZECH REPUBLIC. A meeting of students and
teachers from Czech Republic took place in June in Humpolec.
Executive council of Civil association I*EARN (president
Stanislav Waldauf, coordinator Ilona Kubonova and Jan Cepelak)
prepared the program for participants. They discussed their
successess, problems and work of this school year and planed
new projects for next school year and closer cooperation

GLOBAL HOLIDAYS PROJECT. Help to put together a global
holidays calender representing countries across I*EARN.

REFORMING CUSTOMS AND PRACTICES PROJECT. Which customs and
practices should we keep, which should we get rid of, improve
and why? how do our practices (traditions) affect our lives?
Teachers from around the world are requested to review the
proposal (posted in iearn.teachers and iearn.civics), since
this is the first project teachers from Pakistan would be
facilitating and they ask for support and cooperation from

THE STUDENT UNDERGROUND: ASK THE WORLD A QUESTION CONTEST.
Beginning August 15th, 2000, classrooms worldwide (ages 13 to
21) will be invited to submit their most thought-provoking or
entertaining question to the "Ask the World a Question"
contest. Winning questions, selected by a global team of
students, will be included in a four-day survey of the human
race to occur in November 2000. The project's goal is to use
the Internet to connect thousands of students from around the
world to compare their opinions, concerns, thoughts and
beliefs. The contest ends September 30th, 2000. Look for more
information at the IEARN Conference in Bejing! If you are
unable to attend the conference and would like more
