HIGHLIGHTING I*EARN PROJECTS. I*EARN-US is in the process of
redesigning its website to include a different "project
feature" on its homepage each month. We want to share the
compelling human stories about things that have happened in
your schools or communities through your involvement in an
I*EARN project. Stories should be between 300-600 words and
should include a photograph too. Though all submitted stories
may not be used on the site, all stories submitted will become
part of an I*EARN stories archive accessible to all I*EARN
teachers and coordinators to be used for newsletters, etc.
Stories and attached photographs can be e-mailed to
projectstories@us.iearn.org

LOCAL HISTORY PROJECT. Students are invited to participate in
this project which will continue until July 2001. There are
several schools from Europe participating but very few from
other countries. The project is very simple. Students research
the history of their area or town and send their contributions
to iearn.kidscan. Partners can be arranged for private
correspondence. Contact Margaret Shearn in Australia
mshearn@netconnect.com.au to register. All articles are
published on the website at
http://www.skiptonps.vie.edu.au/history.

NEW MILLENNIUM CARD-GLOBAL ART PROJECT. Our youth have a
wonderful chance to wish best things for the future
generations, to share and express their ideas about our planet
in the future and to think about the problems of the
surrounding world. (artworks, postcards, essays: "My vision of
the 3d Millennium", or a title for the 21st century). Contact:
