I*EARN is an international organization that aims to support using modern information and communication technologies, especially internet, at schools in teaching. It tries to reach the aim by projects that are carried out by participating schools. Students and teachers from every school may volountarily participate in the given projects. Internet is used to communicate mainly. I earn helps in organizing and creating the projects. I earn takes care of sufficient informing of every school.
The variety of the project themes is very wide. Some of the projects are more based on the communication among participants but some them tries to find answers for very serious questions. You can find projects on human and childern rights or national problems. A great group of projects are the social projects. These give the possibility to students to get to know culture and traditions of their friends from virtually whole world. Ecological projects are not left out. History, literature, music and art projects can be found as well. Everyone has the possibility to find wha he's interested in.
Anyone may join the projects. The projects are either international or regional that are created at Czech schools that have already participated in the program for a longer time.
The communication languages of the international projects are English and Spanish. That influences positively the students whose maternal languages are different. Students learn to expres their opinion clearly and to cooperate with poeple from different parts of the world that they have never seen before and probably will never see in future again. Doing this they train their knowledge of the above mentioned languages.
